Origin
The Echeveria mina originally comes from Mexico. It belongs to the Crassulaceae family, a family that mainly consists of succulents. It has spread to various parts of the world due to the popularity of gardening and the ease of caring for this plant.
Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Echeveria mina is the reddish pink colour of the leaves, which can give an outstanding glow when exposed to sufficient sunlight. The plant also produces small inflorescences with yellow flowers. As with many succulents, the Echeveria mina has a rosette shape, with leaves that grow out of the central point in surrounding spirals.
Care
The Echeveria mina loves lots of sunlight and needs at least five hours of direct sunlight per day. Too little sunlight can cause the plant to lose its characteristic reddish colour. The plant's water requirement follows the general rule for succulents: water thoroughly and then allow it to dry before it gets water again. The plant does not tolerate frost and should be moved indoors during the winter months if it lives in a colder climate.
