Origin
The Echinopsis Haku-Jo Maru has its roots in South America, specifically the Andean region. This area, with its specific climate and soil composition, provides the unique growing conditions of the plant. It belongs to the cactus family and naturally grows in the mountainous areas of Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.

Characteristics
The Echinopsis Haku-Jo Maru is known for its spherical growth pattern and can reach up to 30 cm in diameter. Its spines are fine and sharp, ranging in colour from white to yellow. This particular cactus is known for its impressive flowers, which are typically white with a hint of pink. The bloom mainly occurs during the spring and summer.

Care
Despite it being a cactus, the Echinopsis Haku-Jo Maru requires some care. It likes a sunny spot, but cannot handle extreme heat well. It is therefore recommended to give it some shade during the hottest hours of the day. The plant needs well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Watering should be done in moderation, especially during the winter months when the cactus is in rest. It is advisable to fertilise the plant in the spring to promote growth and bloom.
