Over the years, the plant has spread across the world and is now a popular ornamental plant for indoor use.
Characteristics
The Phalaenopsis 'Silhouette' is a very noticeable plant due to the unique colour and shape of its flowers. The plant is characterised by its elongated leaves and blooms almost all year round. The flowers, typically white or pink, have a contrasting colour in the middle, creating a striking 'silhouette' effect. The plant reaches an average height of 60 cm and a width of 30 cm.
Care
Proper care is essential for the growth and flowering of the Phalaenopsis 'Silhouette'. This type of plant requires a light spot, but does not tolerate direct sunlight. It is recommended to keep this plant indoors, at temperatures between 20-25 degrees Celsius, and to water it regularly. However, overwatering should be avoided as it can cause root rot.
