Origin
The Ledeboria Socialis is an indigenous plant species that originates from South Africa. It was officially registered in botanical literature for the first time in 1897. The most common alternative name for the plant is Scilla Socialis.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Ledeboria Socialis are the green leaves with white or silver marbled patterns that grow in a rosette shape. The plant blooms annually with multiple clusters of small, white flowers. The plant has a bulb structure and can multiply quickly through small daughter bulbs.

Care
In the care of the Ledeboria Socialis, it is necessary to take into account the natural habitat of the plant. They prefer a sunny spot but can also grow in partial shade. The soil needs to be well-drained to prevent root rot, and the plant copes better with drought than with too much water. The Ledeboria Socialis does not have a high nutrient requirement, it is sufficient to add a diluted liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season.
