Origin
The Soleirolia soleirolii, better known as the baby's tears, is originally from the Mediterranean region. It is a green creeping plant, which over the years has spread to various regions in Europe. The plant is popular in many gardens, balconies and indoors for its delicate and fresh appearance.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the Soleirolia soleirolii are the very small, oval, bright green leaves on long, thin stems. The plant does not grow much larger than 10 cm tall and grows mainly in width, making it a fast groundcover. The plant flowers in the summer with small, inconspicuous, cream-white flowers.

Care
Taking care of the Soleirolia soleirolii is easy as long as a few conditions are met. The plant prefers both light and semi-shade locations, but must be protected from too bright sunlight to avoid leaf burn. The soil must be constantly moist, without being waterlogged. Additionally, the plant should be located in a place where the temperature does not drop below 12 degrees Celsius. Regular fertilisation during the growth period promotes the growth of the plant.
