Origin
The Nephrolepis Exaltata Mix, better known as the Boston Fern, has its origin in the humid forests and swamps of tropical America, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific. The plant was introduced to the United Kingdom in the 19th century and has since gained immense popularity worldwide.

Characteristics
The Nephrolepis Exaltata Mix is easily recognisable by its forest-like green leaves and its hanging form. The plant's leaves can grow up to 90 cm long and are pinnate, with small, closely placed leaflets. The plant has strong growth power and can quickly reach a large size if conditions are favourable. In the wild, the Nephrolepis Exaltata Mix can also propagate through spores, a type of small seed that forms on the underside of the leaves.

Care
The Nephrolepis Exaltata Mix prefers a warm, light place, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. A humidity of 50% to 75% is ideal for this plant, which is why it is often found in bathrooms and kitchens. Moderate watering is recommended, allowing the soil to lightly dry out between watering. This often means watering once a week in the summer months and less frequently in the winter. Regular fertilising during the growth period will also benefit the plant.
