Origin
The Peperomia dolabriformis ‘Firesparks’ originates from the warm, tropical regions of Peru. This plant is part of the Piperaceae family. The plant can be found under various circumstances in this region, encompassing both lowlands and those at some altitude.
Characteristics
On average, the Peperomia dolabriformis ‘Firesparks’ is a small plant that does not grow taller than half a meter. This plant has a unique leaf shape reminiscent of a monk’s bag. The colour of the leaves varies from light green to deep green. During flowering, this plant can produce delicate flowers with an orange hue, an attribute after which the name ‘Firesparks’ refers.
Care
The Peperomia dolabriformis ‘Firesparks’ enjoys an environment with lots of indirect light. The temperature should be moderate throughout the year. Water should be given in moderation and it is recommended to reduce it even more during winter. They do not have high humidity needs and do well if the potting soil can dry out further in between.
