DescriptionSpecificationsFeatures
Plant

The Philodendron is native to the tropical rainforests of South America and the Caribbean region. Most of them are true climbers that use their long tendrils to climb up other trees or rocks. The Philodendron Imperial Red is characterised by its huge glossy leaves but because the short stems seldom branch, this plant remains very compact. The young leaves are dark red and turn dark green at a later stage.

Planter

Terracotta pots are traditionally made from unglazed pottery. The color depends on which metals are present in which concentrations in the clay and at what temperature the pot is baked. Terracotta is available in all color grades between white and dark orange to dark gray. The pots are excellent to combine with botanical styles.

Planting system

This plant display is made up with a pot plant, filled with Vulkastrat and is equipped with a waterlevel indicator. Vulkastrat absorbs more water than regular soil and releases it gradually to the roots. Vulkastrat cannot shrink shut due to its coarse structure, which keeps the soil more airy and allows the roots to absorb enough oxygen. If the planter is not waterproof, a liner is used to make the plant display waterproof.
