Characteristics
The Musa acuminata 'Dwarf Cavendish' is a compact version of the regular banana plant. It reaches a height of about 2 to 4 metres. The plant has large, glossy and feather-like leaves that have an impressive visual impact. Under the right conditions, the 'Dwarf Cavendish' can also produce bananas, although these do not have the same size as the bananas you buy at the store.

Care
As the Musa acuminata 'Dwarf Cavendish' hails from tropical regions, it needs a lot of sunlight and warmth. Regular watering is necessary, especially in the growing phase. A high level of humidity is also beneficial. Maintenance includes the removal of old or dead leaves to promote new growth. This plant is not hardy and thrives best at temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.
