Origin
Echeveria texensis, also known as Texas Echeveria, originally comes from the United States, specifically near the Texas-Mexico border. This plant is part of the Crassulaceae family and belongs to a large genus that encompasses over 150 species.
Characteristics
The Echeveria texensis is a small perennial succulent that can reach up to 15 cm in height. It has oval, fleshy leaves with a glossy texture and red tips. In the spring, the plant produces small, bell-shaped, pink flowers at the end of long stems. These flowers are often found in bloom on mature plants.
Care
Echeveria texensis requires little maintenance and is well resistant to drought. It prefers full sun or light shade and well-draining soil. Overwatering should be avoided, as this can result in root rot. As this plant is sensitive to frost, it is recommended to keep it indoors in cold climates and provide necessary protection during the winter months in milder climates.
