Origin
The Schefflera actinophylla 'Golden Amate' 6/tray, also known as the Queensland umbrella tree, originates from the tropical areas of Australia and New Guinea. This evergreen plant is part of the Araliaceae family and is commonly found in rainforests and humid coastal areas.

Characteristics
The Schefflera actinophylla 'Golden Amate' 6/tray is distinguished by its large leaves, which consist of several leaflets and have a glossy, golden-green colour. The plant grows rapidly and can reach up to two metres in height. This species is characterised by palm-like leaves, has dark green leaves on top and golden to orange leaves on the underside.

Care
In terms of care, the Schefflera actinophylla 'Golden Amate' 6/tray needs both sunlight and shade, but must be protected from direct sunlight. The plant thrives best at room temperature and needs regular watering, without the roots becoming waterlogged. Dry air can cause brown leaf tips, so it is advised to spray the plant regularly. The plant also needs a high humidity level and hence, it is not uncommon to water the plant daily during the summer months.
