Origin
The Anthurium 'Clarinervium' originates from the humid rainforests of Central and South America. It is naturally found in Mexico, Panama and other tropical parts of the continent. Known amongst the indigenous population for its beauty and diversity, the plant was specially cultivated for export.

Characteristics
The Anthurium 'Clarinervium' is a rare species from the Araceae family which stands out due to its dark green, heart-shaped leaves. The most striking characteristic of the plant are the bright white veins that contrast against the dark green leaves. This plant grows slowly and reaches a height of approximately 40-60 cm when mature. It produces flowers that start out green, but after some time they change to a red-purple colour.

Care
The Anthurium 'Clarinervium' requires high humidity and a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius to thrive. It is recommended to place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight and to ensure that the soil is moist but well-draining. Overwatering can cause root rot, so it's important to wait until the top layer of the soil feels dry before watering again. Lastly, this plant needs leaf shine to keep the leaves healthy. It is also advisable to regularly feed the plant with a good quality fertiliser.
