Vriesea Urban mix
Purple/Red
F00000111
Origin
The Vriesea Pink/Purple, also known as a bromeliad, is a tropical plant originally from Central and South America. The genus, named after the Dutch botanist Willem Hendrik de Vriese, consists of hundreds of species.
Characteristics
The Vriesea Pink/Purple is recognised by its striking rosette of leaves and colourful flowering in shades of pink and purple. The plant has long, flat leaves that taper to a point. A characteristic of this species is the so-called sword-shaped inflorescence, from which small flowers emerge.
Care
The Vriesea Pink/Purple prefers a humid environment and indirect sunlight. It's recommended to water the plant regularly, but to avoid over-watering it. Ideally, the temperature should be between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Since the plant primarily absorbs its nutrients from the air, it's possible to add plant food to the watering once a month.
