DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Callisia Rosato, also known as the pink lady, originates from Central and South America. This exotic group of plants belongs to the Commelinaceae family. Its natural habitat consists of tropical and subtropical forested areas where it thrives in the warm and humid climate.

Characteristics
The Callisia Rosato is a compact plant with attractive, heart-shaped leaves that come in beautiful shades of green, pink and purple. It generally forms a hanging structure, making it ideal for growing in hanging baskets. In mature specimens, the plant can spread up to 1 metre wide. It's a fast-growing type that can form impressive colourful carpets.

Care
For optimal growth, the Callisia Rosato requires plenty of indirect sunlight and well-drained soil. Overwatering will cause the roots to rot, so it's important to let the soil dry out between watering sessions. During the winter months, when the plant goes through a period of rest, watering should be reduced. The ideal growth temperature is between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius. Like many tropical plants, the Callisia Rosato appreciates being sprayed regularly to simulate high humidity.
