Origin
The Phalaenopsis King is a popular orchid species originally from Southeast Asia. It is a tropical plant that is common in countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia and Borneo. The plant owes its name to the shape of the flower, which resembles a butterfly in flight.

It is important that the plant gets enough light, but is protected from direct sunlight. Water should be given sparingly, as the plant is sensitive to root rot. Regular feeding with a special orchid fertiliser can contribute to healthy growth and abundant flowering.
