Origin
The Vanda hybrids belong to the Orchid family. They originally come from the tropical regions of Asia, including the Himalayas, India, southern China, and Indonesia. In these areas, they grow both on the ground and epiphytically on trees, obtaining moisture and nutrients from the air and rain.

Characteristics
Vanda hybrids are known for their beautiful, showy flowers. The colours range from pink, white, and purple to blue and are often spotted or striped. The flowers are usually round in shape and grow on tall, high stems. The leaves are thick, fleshy and have a lanceolate shape. Depending on the species, the plant can reach a height of 60-150 cm.

Care
Vanda hybrids need lots of light, but not direct sunlight. They appreciate high humidity and temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. During the growing season, they need a lot of water, but make sure that the excess water can drain away easily. The plants should be given nutrient-rich water with a special orchid feed.
