Origin
The Scindapsus 'Global Green' originally hails from Southeast Asia and can be found in various tropical and subtropical areas. It is a member of the Araceae family and is also known as the Epipremnum 'Global Green'. In its natural habitat, the plant often grows in the shade of larger trees, climbing up their trunks.
Characteristics
The Scindapsus 'Global Green' is characterised by its heart-shaped leaves which are bright green with light, almost silver-like spots. The plant grows in overhanging vines that can be guided or attached to a moss pole to support the plant. It is a fast grower that can reach up to 10 metres in length. This Scindapsus also has aerial roots which it can use to climb or anchor itself to materials.
Care
The Scindapsus 'Global Green' thrives best in a place with bright, indirect light, although it can also adapt to lower light levels. Watering should be moderate, the soil can dry out slightly between watering, but should never completely dry out. High humidity is beneficial for the plant, thus regular misting is recommended.
