DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Mangave 'Mission to Mars' is a relatively new hybrid plant that finds its origin in the combination of the Agave and Manfreda genera. This crossbreed was developed to combine the best characteristics of both parents, with the aim of creating a robust, attractive, and easy-to-care-for plant.

Characteristics
The 'Mission to Mars' is characterized by its unique purple and green leaves that form dense rosettes. Each leaf is covered with short and soft hairs giving it a velvety texture. The plant grows relatively fast compared to other succulents and can reach a height of approximately 50 centimetres and a width of 90 centimetres. Furthermore, the plant produces flowers on tall stems during the summer months, adding to its decorative value.

Care
In order to keep the 'Mission to Mars' healthy, this plant needs good drainage and the potting soil must be allowed to completely dry out before watering again. It thrives best in full sunlight, but can also tolerate partial shade. In the winter, the plant requires little water and needs to be protected from frost, as it is not frost-hardy. Regular fertilisation during the growth season can help promote healthy growth.
