Origin

The plant has a grey-green colour and the stems are covered with large spikes. It is known for its round, purplish fruits, which can be eaten both raw and cooked. Another characteristic of this plant is its flowering pattern: during the late spring and early summer, the plant blossoms at night with large, white flowers.
Care
The Stenocereus pruinosus requires a sunny location and well-draining soil to prevent root rot. As this plant originally comes from a dry climate, It needs little water. During the summer months, the soil should be allowed to dry out thoroughly between waterings. In the winter, when the plant is dormant, it requires almost no water. A weekly check of the plant for pests and diseases is recommended, as this plant may be susceptible to certain types of insects and fungi.
