Characteristics
The Syagrus schizophylla is a medium-sized palm that can grow up to 12 metres tall. It has feathered leaves that can be around 3 metres long. The trunk is usually upright, but can also have a slight curvature. This palm tree produces orange to reddish fruits that are about 2.5 cm in diameter.
Care
The care of the Syagrus schizophylla requires a well-draining soil. It also needs regular watering, but does not tolerate waterlogging. It is a heat-loving variety, making it important to plant it in a sunny, sheltered spot.
