DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Aglaonema 'Maria achtan', also known as the Chinese Evergreen, is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. This plant mainly occurs in the undergrowth of forests where the climate is warm and humid. There are over 20 known species of this plant, each unique in terms of its visual appearance and growth conditions.

Characteristics
Aglaonemas are known for their stunning variegated leaves. The 'Maria achtan' is no exception, with its dark green leaves marked with silver streaks. These plants grow fairly slowly, but they can eventually reach between 60 and 120 cm in height. The leaves are elongated and taper to a point at the ends, and the plant generally grows in a bushy fashion.

Care
The Aglaonema 'Maria achtan' is a low-growing plant that responds favourably to an environment with indirect, filtered light. The plant prefers moist soil but it is important to prevent the soil from becoming waterlogged. In summer, the plant can be cared for using liquid fertiliser, while in winter it is generally sufficient to keep the soil lightly moist without additional fertilisation.
