Characteristics
Characteristic of the Aglaonema 'Madonna' are the elongated, shiny leaves which usually reach a length of 20 to 45 cm. The leaves are strikingly green with cream or white stripes. The flowers of this plant are inconspicuous and usually hidden among the leaves. Their colour varies from white to greenish. The plant can reach a height of approximately 60 cm.
Care
The Aglaonema 'Madonna' prefers light, but indirect sunlight and an average temperature between 16 and 25 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too low, the plant may be damaged. Watering should be done in moderation, allowing the soil to lightly dry out between watering to prevent root rot. The plant benefits from high humidity and can be sprayed with water to maintain this level. Furthermore, the soil needs to be well drained to prevent root rot. The Aglaonema should be repotted every spring.
