The planters from the Cortensteel collection are made of Corten steel, a metal alloy known for its warm, orange-brown hue. This distinctive colour is created during the rusting process: the planters first have a grey colour and, depending on the weather and location, will rust within a few months. This makes each planter unique.

These planters are delivered while in the rusting process and are therefore (partially) rusted. The rusting process can be accelerated by wetting the planter daily with a plant spray. In the first few months, it can give off rust on the tiles. Flush this away daily, or temporarily place the planter on another surface for the first period.
