Origin
Euphorbia tirucalli is native to parts of Africa and India. The plant grows there in dry, tropical, and subtropical regions. In its natural habitat, it is often found in open, rocky areas. Euphorbia tirucalli is also cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant.
Characteristics
This plant is a succulent shrub that can reach several metres in height. It has smooth, green, cylindrical branches that bear few leaves. The leaves are small, oval, and fall off quickly.
Care
The plant prefers a sunny position with plenty of light. Euphorbia tirucalli tolerates dry conditions and requires little water. Water moderately on a regular basis, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Well-draining potting soil is recommended for this species.
