Characteristics
Distinctive for the Euphorbia trigona are the green, triangular trunks with small leaves. The trunks are covered with spiky protrusions that resemble thorns but are in fact leaves. This plant can reach significant heights; in its natural environment it can grow up to 9 metres high, whilst as a houseplant it generally stays between 1 and 2 metres.

Care
The Euphorbia trigona requires relatively little care. It is a light-loving plant that appreciates a sunny spot, but can also survive in partial shade. Temperatures between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius are ideal. This type of plant requires well-draining soil, overwatering must be avoided to prevent root rot. In winter, the Euphorbia trigona needs very little water. Generally, watering once a week is usually sufficient.
