Origin
The Echeveria Shaviana Pink, also known as 'Pink Frills', is a succulent native to Mexico. This plant has developed in regions with climate conditions ranging from semi-desert to arid mountains, where they have naturally built up resistance to dry conditions.
Characteristics
The Echeveria Shaviana Pink distinguishes itself with its pink tinged blue-green leaves which grow in a rosette formation. The leaves have a ruffled edge, giving this Echeveria a frivolous appearance. Notably, the pink colour of the leaves becomes more intense in dimmer light. In the blooming period, usually in the summer, the plant produces long stems with hanging, bell-shaped, pink flowers.
Care
The Echeveria Shaviana Pink requires little water and the soil must fully dry out between watering. Overwatering can lead to root rot. The plant loves bright light, but must be protected from intense direct sunlight to avoid scorch marks. In winter, the Echeveria prefers temperatures above freezing point. If temperatures drop lower, protection against frost is necessary.
