Origin
The Echeveria Purpusorum is an ornamental plant that originally comes from Mexico. This succulent belongs to the Crassulaceae family and is also known by the popular name Mexican Rose.
Characteristics
The Echeveria Purpusorum distinguishes itself with its compact, small rosette that grows up to 6 inches in diameter. The leaves are often dark burgundy with green spots, which often turn almost black with more sunlight. The plant produces small, orange-coloured flowers that grow on long stems. It grows slowly and has a maximum height of 5 centimetres.
Care
The Echeveria Purpusorum requires minimal care and thrives well in sunny locations with well-drained soil. Remember to water in the summer when the soil is dry, but make sure not to overwater to prevent root rot. In the winter, the plant needs very little water. The Echeveria Purpusorum is not frost hardy and does not survive at temperatures below -1°C. It is therefore best to place the plant indoors in an airy and bright environment.
