Euphorbia eritrea
Product number : F00001488Origin
The Euphorbia eritrea, also known as the Candelabra Tree, is implicitly African in origin. This desert-loving plant is primarily found in the dry regions of Eritrea and Ethiopia, recognised for its ability to withstand extreme heat and drought.
Characteristics
Euphorbia eritrea is a succulent plant species that can grow up to a height of 15 feet. The plant possesses fleshy, spirally arranged leaves that cling to the stem. The stems are green in colour and can grow up to 3 meters in length. Moreover, the plant produces small, green-yellow flowers that emerge from a spike amongst the leaves.
Care
Euphorbia eritrea requires minimal care to keep it healthy. It prefers a sunny location, but can tolerate a certain degree of shade. The plant needs to be watered moderately, with dry periods in between watering to prevent the roots from rotting. In addition, the plant requires well-draining soil for growth as standing water may lead to root rot. Lastly, Euphorbia eritrea generally responds well to light fertilisation during the growing season.
