Origin
The Echeveria 'Christmas' belongs to the Crassulaceae family and has its roots in Central and South America. The Echeveria genus, named after the 18th-century botanist Atanasio Echeverría, comprises more than 150 varieties of succulents.

Characteristics
The Echeveria 'Christmas' is an evergreen succulent known for its unusual appearance. The plant has thick, fleshy leaves that form a rosette. The colour of the leaves ranges from green to red tones, depending on the lighting. In winter, the plant develops beautiful red edges, explaining the name 'Christmas'. This succulent can reach a height of 6 - 8 cm and a diameter of 10 -13 cm.

Care
The Echeveria 'Christmas' requires minimal maintenance and is therefore ideal for beginners. A bright, indirect sunlight is essential for optimal growth, while too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. The plant needs a well-draining soil and rarely water - only when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering can cause root rot, which is deadly to the plant. During the winter, it is recommended to keep the plant at temperatures above 5°C.
