Origin
The Ficus benjamina Anastasia® has its origin in Southeast Asia and Australia. This plant species is part of the Moraceae family. This exotic houseplant symbolises peace and prosperity in many cultures and is loved worldwide for its attractive appearance.
Characteristics
The Ficus benjamina Anastasia® is characterised by its twisted trunk and full bush of glossy, light green leaves. The plant can grow to a height of approximately two metres. The leaves of the Ficus have an oval shape and are pointed at the ends. The Anastasia variant is distinguished by the unique white to light green colour of the leaves.
Care
The Ficus benjamina Anastasia® requires plenty of indirect sunlight and mild temperatures. It thrives best at a temperature around 20°C and should be protected against cold drafts. Like many tropical plants, the Ficus benjamina Anastasia® calls for regular, light watering. Overwatering should be avoided, however, as this can cause root rot. Periodically spraying the leaves can also be useful for removing dust and increasing the humidity around the plant.
