Origin
Murraya paniculata originates from South and Southeast Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and parts of Australia. The plant is also cultivated worldwide in tropical and subtropical regions. In some countries, the species is planted in gardens and parks because of its decorative value.

Characteristics
Murraya paniculata is a densely branched, evergreen shrub or small tree. It has glossy, oval-shaped leaves and small white flowers that produce a strong fragrance. After flowering, orange-red to red fruits develop which are small and oval in shape. The shrub typically reaches a height of two to four metres, depending on the growing conditions.

Care
Murraya paniculata grows best in a sunny to partially shaded position. The plant prefers well-draining, fertile soil. Regular watering is required, but prolonged drought should be avoided. The shrub can be pruned to maintain its shape and size.
