Origin
The Schefflera arboricola 'Dalton' originates from the tropical area of Taiwan and Hainan. Originally, this plant is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 30 meters high. In temperate climates, the plant is appreciated as a houseplant, known under a different common name.

Characteristics
The Schefflera arboricola 'Dalton' is known for its shiny, green leaves characterised by their hand-like shape. The plant grows rapidly and can shoot upwards without trimming, which is why the plant often grows between 130 and 160 centimeters tall. A distinctive characteristic is the tolerance of lower light conditions, which contributes to the plant's popularity as a houseplant.

Care
The care of the Schefflera arboricola 'Dalton' requires some attention. The plant needs sufficient light, but avoid direct sunlight. Regarding watering, regularity is important, but beware of overwatering, the soil should be able to dry out between watering sessions. In winter, it is also advisable to water less. For optimal growth, an ambient temperature between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius is ideal. Furthermore, this plant is a strong survivor and can also survive in less ideal conditions.
