The Citrus limetta 'Pursha', also known as Sweet Lemon, is a variety of the Citrus limetta and has its origin in the Mediterranean area. It is a popular and widespread variety, and is nowadays found in many parts of the world, especially in warm and sunny climates.
Characteristics
The Citrus limetta 'Pursha' is a medium-sized evergreen citrus tree. The tree can reach a height of 3 to 6 meters. The round to oval fruits have a sweet taste and the skin varies from green to yellow when they are ripe. The leaves are shiny and dark green in colour.
Care
The Citrus limetta 'Pursha' requires at least five to six hours of direct sunlight per day. The plant prefers moist, well-draining soil and needs to be watered regularly. In general, this tree suffers little from diseases and pests. It is recommended to annually fertilise the tree to promote healthy growth. Remove dead branches and leaves to maintain a healthy tree.
