Origin
The Citrus aurantifolia 'Limequat' is a hybrid plant species that was created from the cross-breeding of the Key Lime and the Kumquat. This dwarf citrus was developed by Walter Tennyson Swingle in the United States in the early 20th century. The plant species therefore cannot be found in the wild, but is primarily grown in nurseries.

Characteristics
Characteristic of the 'Limequat' is its small size, making it ideally suited for pot culture.
