Origin
The Yucca rostrata, also known as the Beaked Yucca, is native to the Chihuahua and Coahuila regions of Northern Mexico and Southwest Texas. There, it forms part of the characteristic fire-and-frost-resistant landscape of the Chihuahua Desert area.

Characteristics
The Yucca rostrata is an evergreen known for its striking blue-grey leaves, which gather in a symmetrical, almost spherical crown at the top of its slender trunk. It can reach a height of 4 metres or more. It rarely produces flowers, which are typically white and bloom on tall, upright stems, giving the plant a striking silhouette, especially when lit at sunrise or sunset.

Care
Despite its exotic appearance, the Yucca rostrata is a hardy plant that can survive with little care, provided it is given the right conditions. The plant prefers full sunlight and well-drained soil but can also survive in partial shade. Generally, the Yucca rostrata requires minimal irrigation, especially outside its native desert landscape, but may require regular watering during particularly dry periods. Care must be taken with the root system when transplanting, as it is relatively fragile.
