DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Yucca rostrata, also suitable as a Blue Beaked Yucca, is originally a desert plant from the southern part of the United States and Northern Mexico. It primarily exists in the Chihuahuan desert, an area known for its extreme temperature fluctuations.

Characteristics
Yucca rostrata is an impressive, slow-growing plant. It reaches an average height of two to five metres and has a trunk covered with dense, silver-blue leaves. These leaves are narrow and pointed, resulting in a spherical shape that strongly contrasts with the slim, straight trunk. The plant also produces large, white flowers in the spring and early summer.

Care
Yucca rostrata is a robust species that requires little maintenance. It thrives best in well-draining soil and prefers full sun, although it can also tolerate some shade. Overwatering should be avoided as this can cause root rot. The plant is frost hardy and can handle temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius, making it also suitable for countries with a colder climate. Pruning back dead leaves promotes the growth and health of the plant.
