Origin
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana', often known as the Peace Lily, is a species of plant mainly originating from the tropical rainforests of South America, particularly in areas of Colombia and Venezuela. Here, the plant grows in a moist, warm, and shadowy environment, typically on the forest floor or along streams and rivers.

Characteristics
The Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana' is an evergreen, herbaceous plant that typically achieves a height of about 50 to 60 centimetres. Distinctive features of this plant are its shiny, dark green leaves and the white, fragrant flowers that stand out like a banner on a tall stem above the leaf canopy. In the middle of these flowers is a golden yellow cob, contributing to the plant's striking appearance. The flowering of the Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana' can occur all year round, but is usually strongest in the spring and summer.

Care
The care of the Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana' is relatively simple. The plant requires a place with enough indirect light, and needs regular - but not excessive - watering. Because the plant originates from a humid environment, it is advisable to maintain high humidity in the vicinity of the plant. This can be done, for example, by regularly misting the plant with water. Furthermore, it's good to re-pot the plant every few years to ensure that the roots have plenty of room to grow.
