Pellionia repens
F00000462
Origin
The Peperomia polybotrya originates from the tropical regions of Central and South America. This plant is primarily found in the rainforests of Peru and Ecuador. There, it grows naturally on tree trunks, beneath the rainforest canopy.
Characteristics
The Peperomia polybotrya, also known as Raindrop Peperomia, is a small perennial plant with heart-shaped leaves that have the shape of a raindrop. The plant can reach a maximum height of about 30 to 40 centimetres and has a compact growth form. The leaves of the Peperomia polybotrya often have a dark green colour and a leathery texture.
Care
The Peperomia polybotrya requires a light, but not direct, sunny location for the best growth. The plant requires little from the indoor air quality. However, it does need regular water, but make sure that no water remains in the pot, as this can cause the plant's roots to rot. Provide the plant with nutritious, well-draining soil to stay in the best condition.
