Begonia rex Ferox
F00000427
Origin
The Peperomia Pepperspot, often known as the Radiator Plant, has its origin in southern America and northern South America. The plant is found prolifically in these regions, particularly in tropical and subtropical areas. The variety of climates in the Andes, Amazon, and Caribbean islands promotes the diversity of species within the Peperomia genus.
Characteristics
Peperomia Pepperspot is renowned for its small, round leaves that grow along the stem in pairs. The plant has a compact growth habit and doesn't grow larger than 30 cm. The leaves are a deep green colour with red edges and stems. The pepper grain-like appearance of the leaf, which gives the plant its name, is notable.
Care
The Peperomia Pepperspot is an easy-to-care-for houseplant. It prefers a location with lots of light, but not direct sunlight. The plant thrives at room temperature and requires a little water once a week, it's better to under-water than over-watering. Regular trimming of the plant is not necessary, however, to maintain the growth and shape, it might be useful occasionally.
