Origin
The Cordyline Kiwi, also known as the Kiwi Cordyline, has its origin in the tropical regions of New Zealand and Australia. This exotic plant is part of the Asparagaceae family and is often used as an ornamental plant due to its striking appearance and adaptability to different environmental conditions.
Characteristics
The Cordyline Kiwi is characterised by its dramatic, sword-shaped leaves that vary in colour tones from neon yellow to green and pink. This evergreen plant can reach a height of three to ten feet, depending on the growing conditions and care. Another notable characteristic of this plant is its ability to bloom; the flowers it produces are small, fragrant, and white in colour.
Care
The care of the Cordyline Kiwi requires adequate light, but excessive direct sun can fade or even burn the leaf colour. This plant prefers a well-drained soil and should only be watered when the top layer of soil feels dry. Like most tropical plants, the Cordyline Kiwi also requires a higher humidity level, which can be achieved by regular misting. It is recommended to feed the plant with a balanced fertiliser for optimal growth.
