Origin
The Polyscias Balfouriana, also known as the Balfour Aralia, has its origin on the tropical islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is predominantly found in areas such as Tahiti and New Caledonia where it grows in the sub-tropical forests. This plant family encompasses about 100 different species, many of which are now circulated worldwide as a popular pot plant.

Characteristics
The Polyscias Balfouriana distinguishes itself with its unique leaf structure and colour. The leaves are generally clustered at the end of the branches and have a cream to light green colour, with rounded, grooved edges. The plants generally grow at a steady pace and can reach a height of 2 to 3 metres in their natural environment. The plant does not have a distinct bloom and usually does not produce fruits in domestic conditions.

Care
The Polyscias Balfouriana has specific care needs to thrive. The plant needs a well-draining, slightly acidic soil and a spot with partial shade to full sun. Generally, the plant does not like having wet feet, so overwatering should be avoided. To grow, this plant needs regular feeding and the ideal temperature should be between 60 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
