Origin
The Begonia Beleaf mix originates from a botanical family known as Begoniaceae. This family comprises around 1,500 different species and is native to subtropical and tropical climates. The Beleaf mix was created from a crossbreeding of different types of begonias, specially cultivated for their attractive leaves.
Characteristics
This plant is known for its striking and colourful leaves. They range in colour from deep green to purple and often have a silvery sheen. The leaves are large, asymmetrical and have a fine texture. The Begonia Beleaf mix is a compact, bushy plant that can grow to be about 30 cm tall. However, the plant rarely blooms; the main ornamental value lies in its leaves.
Care
The Begonia Beleaf mix requires a light location but should not receive direct sunlight. It prefers high humidity levels, without the soil becoming too wet. The plant needs moderate watering, and it's best to keep the soil lightly moist but not soaked. The ideal environmental temperature for this plant lies between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
