These glossy, dark green leaves have a prominent vein structure and can reach a size up to 45 centimetres. It is a fast-growing plant that under the right conditions can reach a maximum height of one metre. What's unique about the Alocasia gageana is her ability to produce flowers, which is rare among indoor plants.
Care
In caring for the Alocasia gageana, it's important to replicate the tropical conditions of her original habitat as much as possible. This means a location with sufficient light, but without direct sunlight. The soil needs to be kept moist, without the plant standing in water. Furthermore, the plant can benefit from high humidity and a constant temperature between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to regularly check the plant for signs of diseases or pests.
