Origin
The Sedum x rubrotinctum 'Aurora', often known as the Pink Jelly Bean, is originally a Mexican plant. This succulent is a hybrid that has been popular in horticulture for years. Due to its ease of care and striking colours, it is cultivated in many different climates and regions around the world.

Characteristics
The Sedum x rubrotinctum 'Aurora' is characterized by its bright pink to dark red leaves which are shaped like a jelly bean. It is a low, ground-cover succulent with creeping stems that can grow up to 20 centimeters. The 'Aurora's flowers are small, yellow and star-shaped. They have five pointed petals and usually bloom in the spring.

Care
The care for the Sedum x rubrotinctum 'Aurora' is relatively simple. It thrives best in well-draining potting soil and needs plenty of sunlight, although it can also survive in partial shade. Watering should be done very sparingly, as the 'Aurora', like all succulents, is sensitive to root rot. During the growing season, average watering is sufficient, while in winter watering should be further reduced. The plant is frost-tolerant and can withstand temperatures down to -4 degrees Celsius.
