Origin
The Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Obtipan Bicolor’ originally comes from the forests of South America. It was brought to Europe in the 19th century and is now available worldwide.
Characteristics
The Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Obtipan Bicolor’ is a small, evergreen houseplant known for its unusual and colourful leaves. The leaves of the plant are thick, fleshy and have a variation of green, white and yellow colours. They have a pattern reminiscent of a mosaic and are oval in shape with a pointed tip. The plant rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces small yellow flowers.
Care
The Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Obtipan Bicolor’ doesn’t require much maintenance and thrives in most conditions. It needs a light, but not direct sun position and can't tolerate extreme heat or cold. The plant needs moderate watering and should be allowed to nearly dry out between watering. Lastly, the plant doesn’t need special fertiliser, but use a standard houseplant fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
