Origin
The Sempervivum mix, also known as houseleek, originates from the mountainous regions of Southern Europe, Central Europe and North Africa. This succulent has been cultivated and used for numerous medicinal purposes over centuries, causing its spread across the entire world.
Characteristics
Sempervivum mix is known for its rose-like forms with fleshy flowers. The flowers can vary in colours such as red, pink, yellow, and white. The plant can reach a height of about 15 cm and a width of about 30 cm. Importantly, this plant has the ability to survive extremely cold winter conditions thanks to its fat-rich leaf.
Care
The care of Sempervivum mix is relatively simple and requires little. The plant requires full sun or partial shade and needs well-draining soil. It is also recommended to only water the plant moderately to prevent root rot. During the winter period, it is advisable not to water the plant at all.
