Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Goshiki'
Bush
F00003847
Origin
The Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid', also known as Vanderwolf's Pyramid Limber Pine, is a cultivar originally from North America. In particular, it can be found in the Rocky Mountains, ranging from Alberta and southeast British Columbia in Canada, to New Mexico in the south and California in the west.
Characteristics
The Vanderwolf's Pyramid is distinguished by its pyramidal growth form with a uniform, compact branching. The needles are a bluish-green colour and spiral around the branches, giving the tree a full and lush appearance. This conifer species can reach a height of 9 metres and a width of 4.5 metres. It is hardy and therefore resistant to extreme weather conditions.
Care
The Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid' requires very little maintenance. It grows best in full sun to light shade and tolerates a wide range of soil types, provided they are well-drained. The tree is drought tolerant once established and does not require regular watering. Pruning is rarely needed, but if desired it can be done in late spring to maintain or correct shape.
