Origin
The Hebe Magic Summer® is a cultivar of the Hebe plant that originates from New Zealand. The plant can be found there in both lowlands and mountainous areas. The Magic Summer variant has specifically been developed for garden and pot use in temperate climates.

Characteristics
The Hebe Magic Summer® is renowned for its characteristic coloured leaves. The leaves are green with shades of cream white and pink in the spring and summer, while they take on a deep purple colour in winter. The plant generally flowers in the summer and autumn, with small flowers appearing on long stems. The plant has a compact growth form, usually reaching a height of about 80 centimetres.

Care
The Hebe Magic Summer® requires little intensive care. The plant can grow in both sun and semi-shade, but prefers a well-drained soil. In severe winter weather the plant is best protected a bit more. Furthermore, it's recommended to lightly prune the plant in the spring to stimulate healthy growth. Regular fertilisation of the Hebe contributes to a rich, colourful growth.
