Characteristics
Miscanthus sinensis 'Kleine Silberspinne' is a perennial, non-invasive plant known for its drooping stems and narrow, linear leaves. The leaves have a bright green colour and are longitudinally marked with a silvery midrib. The plant produces plume-like inflorescences from August to October, which have a striking silver colour. The plant can reach a height of 100 to 120 centimetres.
Care
In terms of care, Miscanthus sinensis 'Kleine Silberspinne' requires little maintenance. The plant prefers a location in full sun or partial shade and does not have high requirements for the soil, as long as it's well-draining. Annual fertilisation in the spring with a balanced fertiliser can promote growth and flowering. It is advised to cut back the plant in the early spring to a height of 10 to 15 centimetres to encourage new growth.
