Origin
The Tradescantia zebrina 'Purpusii' originates from Central and South America, and can mainly be found in the tropical forests there. This plant is also known by the name 'Wandering Jew' due to its unique colour pattern.

Characteristics

The leaves have a two-tone purple-green colour on the top and a vivid red colour on the underside, making them a remarkable sight. Care
The Tradescantia zebrina 'Purpusii' requires plenty of indirect light and cannot tolerate direct sunlight, which may scorch its leaves. The plant prefers moderately moist soil, thus it requires regular watering. However, overwatering should be avoided as this can cause root rot.
